Christina Conrad began her yogic journey in 2003. After her first Ashtanga yoga class in a
quaint Capital Hill studio, she was hooked, finally feeling at home in her
body. As she explored the physical
asana, the practice began to open, as not only a practice of movement, but as a
practice of mind. Through college in
Arizona, she connected with a studio, which became a driving force for her
emotional, physical and spiritual growth.
The philosophy of yoga became the glue to her practice as she would come
home to a house of collegiate women and relay the experiences she’d had on the
mat. Encouraging these women to be true
to themselves despite common stereotypes and connect with their inner Self gave
insight into her true passion – giving the gift of yoga. After completing the 9-month, 200-hour certification program
at Yogalife, she is proud to bring her knowledge and experiences to others
though this lifelong journey that is yoga.
