Community ClassesYogalife will be offering classes at both the Greenlake and Queen Anne studios on an ongoing basis that are free to the public. These classes are an offering to the community and also an opportunity for our new teachers to begin their practice of teaching. Classes will change every 8 weeks and will be offered by our recent Yoga Teacher Training graduates.
Mandi Grover will offer a Sivananda community class Saturdays at Yogalife Queen Anne from 2:15 - 3:30pm beginning February 6th. Sivananda yoga is a style of Hatha yoga developed by a great sage from India in order to help people gain peace of mind and contentment while focusing on the health and functioning of the entire body, everything from muscles to internal organs to glands to the mind. The Sivananda class is a good balance of breathing (Pranayama), postures (Asana), and relaxation (Savasana). The class can be seen as a moving meditation where you slowly move through holding steady postures, allowing yourself to focus your energy and attention inward. Holding steady postures works the muscles in a healthy and active way, building strength for the entire body. In our daily lives, our senses are constantly being overloaded, therefore, allowing yourself some time to quiet the mind will have great benefits. You will leave class feeling relaxed, reenergized, and renewed.
