After a year of yoga classes, Fran started to actively devote herself to learning the art of yoga in order to share its healing and empowering effects with others. Fran believes that the magic of yoga is in the discovery of being able to go beyond what we perceive as our limits, and in the profound sense of peace and balance one feels after even one session of practice. Her most influential teachers have been Margaret McAndrew, Swami Vikashananda and Bob Smith. Fran has studied hatha yoga intensely in Matathirta, Nepal, and most recently (March 2001) at the Ved Niketan Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, India. She has been teaching hatha yoga since 1996 , and regularly holds hatha yoga retreats in Ocean Shores, Washington. www.FranGallo.com |
