| Heather Falkin |
Heather Falkin began practicing yoga in 1997 hoping to find a physical outlet for stress and emotional tension. She walked out of her first class feeling stronger, more aware of her body, and more in touch with herself on a deeper spiritual level. She has been studying yoga ever since.
In 2002, Heather completed the Samadhi Yoga teacher-training course with Kathleen Hunt. Through this training she gained knowledge in the philosophical, physiological, and therapeutic aspects of yoga. Her teaching style includes different forms of Hatha yoga, such as Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa. Heather teaches a medium to fast-paced Vinyasa class. Her classes begin with a quiet meditation, then some warm ups to prepare the muscles for more vigorous physical activity. The flow part of the class is very physical and features rhythmic sequencing of movements to help calm the mind. Heather's classes offer students a time to flow, a time to stretch, a time to strengthen, and always a time to breathe and let go. |
