Kat has been a student of the Nia Technique for nearly 6 years. An avid practitioner of classic Nia, she practices both the form and spirit of Nia and aspires to truly master the technique – a life-long endeavor. In 2007, she began pursuing her passion for the 9 movement forms of Nia (3 in the Healing Arts, 3 in the Martial Arts, 3 in the Dance Arts). Inspired by what she discovered — and with the support of her Nia community — she developed a workshop series called Niability: The Nine Movement Forms to share her knowledge with Nia students at all levels of experience. This unique offering has proven extremely effective in transforming the way students move in Nia — and in their lives. The workshop has gained the attention of Nia master trainers and the co-founders themselves, who wholeheartedly approve and support it’s content. Kat (a Certified Green Belt Instructor) is known as The Queen of Form in her Nia Community.
Come move with Kat and experience the conditioning and wellness benefits that are unique to the Nia Technique — in an hour that’s full of energy, fun, and soulful spirit!
“More than any teacher I’ve had, you show a mastery about the body and how it works, and what the Movement Forms mean in Nia. It’s wonderful and very helpful.” - Bonnie (White Belt student)
