Liv Bates was introduced to yoga and meditation when she
was active with dance, and loved how Yoga incorporated the body, breath and
mind, and the non competitiveness of the
practice. Since then she has practiced different styles of Yoga, but she is drawn
to the combination of the moving meditation and the held poses in a Hatha flow
class. Liv came to Seattle from Norway with her family in 2004, and is living here with her husband and two boys 10 and 3. She has much experience
working with children as a daycare teacher, assistant teacher for kids with
special needs and as a group leader in kids’ summer camps. In addition to
her 200-hour level Yoga teacher certification with “Yogalife”, she
has Yoga for children and families teacher training with “Rainbow
Kids”. She is excited about sharing Yoga with kids as well as
adults. Her goal is to create a playful and nurturing space in her classes.
