This September Yogalife will host another Teacher Training. While any Teacher Training involves a large commitment of time and dedication, we have designed our program to be accessible and available for those with families, jobs, and other time commitments. Our 200+ hour program qualifies students to become registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200 RYT level upon completion of the program.

This program will encourage a community-based relationship between students and teachers and will also be an exciting challenge for those students simply wishing to deepen their own personal practice in a way not possible with self-study and drop-in classes.

The program will run from Sept 2010 through April 2011, and will consist largely of early morning Monday-Friday intensives, bi-monthly Wednesday mornings and weekends (Fri eves/ Sat am/pm & Sunday day). We are currently gathering an exciting list of teachers, most of whom are regular Yogalife teachers.  The faculty currently consists of Lisa Steele (lead teacher), Brent Morton, Michael Suzerris, Jo Leffingwell, Laura DeFreitas, Megan Costello, and Becky Hellerstein. You can view many of the teacher bios here .  Our challenging and exciting curriculum will have a Vinyasa-style Hatha Yoga focus, and also consist of Anatomy, Pranayama, Yoga Sutras, Sanskrit, Mantra, Ayurvedic Nutrition, Sequencing, Adjusting, and more!

In addition to extensive hands-on experience, and a supportive Mentorship program, students will have the opportunity to begin their exploration of other teaching styles such as Prenatal, Restorative and Ashtanga yoga.

If you have any questions about our training or would like to be added to a list of prospective students, please feel free to email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . We will be updating this site regularly, and will stay in periodic touch with those who are interested.

Tuition: $3,300 including unlimited classes (payment plans are available)

Testimonials

"This program gave me the knowledge to dive deep into my personal practice while allowing time to absorb, observe and acclimate to the changes that begin to naturally occur.  Everyone has a different area of interest, but for me, it's about holding the space and spreading wakefulness."

"Going through the yoga teacher training for me has been a life-changing experience. It is such a vast area to cover with so much to learn. That Yogalife offers the teaching over nine months allows you to digest everything and grow with it. It also gives you time to practice as much yoga as you can along with the 200 hours of teacher training. The flexible schedule makes it possible for people like me with young kids, or jobs to do this. I loved that, in addition to the topics that are required by Yoga Alliance, we had a chance to go deeper into other areas that are equally helpful and interesting.  It has been an amazing nine months in an accepting warm community. I am sad the training is almost over, but excited to see where it can take me! "
